It’s no secret that we love planning and organising epic bucks parties, but we reckon the wedding is pretty important too! Just like the perfect bucks party looks different to everyone, so does the ideal wedding.
One of the most significant considerations in the whole planning process is the wedding venue. From lush hinterland homes to unique beachfront settings, the list of options on the sunny Gold Coast is pretty much endless.
After chatting to plenty of soon-to-be-grooms and even lending a hand with wedding plans, we’ve been lucky enough to see some of these beautiful local spaces for ourselves. Picking our favourites was kinda like picking a favourite beer – they’re all pretty damn good, but there are always a few that will have your heart.

Ask any little girl about her dream wedding, and she’ll probably describe Riverwood Weddings to a tee. The idyllic outdoor space is brimming with a relaxed country feel and has plenty of sprawling gardens for your guests to spill across. It’s the type of place that welcomes fairy lights, boho-style seating and an abundance of floral arrangements.
As a lush and green area, it’s perfect for garden party style weddings, marquee settings and even tipi celebrations. The venue is also just under half an hour away from the popular Surfers Paradise, which makes finding accommodation for interstate or international guests an absolute breeze.

Kirra Hill Community Centre, Coolangatta

If you’re after a location with a view, look no further than Kirra Hill Community Centre. Located on top of the iconic Kirra Hill, wedding guests will be treated to uninterrupted views of Coolangatta Beach, the Gold Coast skyline and beyond.
Offering plenty of open space, this venue is another great pick for anyone dreaming of an outdoor and sprawling celebration. Set up marquees and tents on the grass, hang lights from the trees and scatter barrel and bar tables across the lush grass.
Kirra Hill Community Centre also offers an indoor reception space which is an excellent backup option for if the weather isn’t on your side. This intimate, restored cottage is spacious enough to welcome all your guests but big enough to host a party worthy of the history books.

EcoStudio Fellini, Mudgeeraba

EcoStudio Fellini is a dream come true for anyone that spends their weekends in nature, hiking along walking tracks, exploring rainforests and swimming under waterfalls. The tranquil venue is situated at the foothills of Springwood National Park and comes complete with a lovely little pond, on-site bucks accommodation and lush green surroundings.
The ceremony space is a split-level timber deck that overlooks the garden and sits just outside the ceremony hall. The easy indoor-outdoor flow is just another way the site maintains its easy-going and laid back vibe, and also ensures you’re prepared for every weather event!

Summergrove Estate, Carool

Summergrove Estate is about as Instagrammable of a location as you’ll ever find. No matter how many times we visit the venue, it still takes our breath away. The white timber barn and quaint chapel are perched upon a rolling green hill in Carool, which provides a panoramic hinterland and ocean view.
Inside, the exposed timber beams and panelled walls maintain an eclectic vibe, while the neutral colours allow the couple to give the space a flair of their own. It’s found just 15km from Coolangatta Airport and just over the border into New South Wales, but you’ll feel like you’ve been transported to another world.

Gilston Manor, Gilston

Gilston Manor is just like the groom’s fiancé – it ticks all the boxes. This luxury mansion is hidden in a secluded section of the Gold Coast Hinterland on more than 20 acres of gardens. The sprawling property can be dressed to suit every style of wedding, but it’s the modern luxe poolside vibes that really attract attention.
There are on-site group accommodation options, or you can also opt for glamping! This unique opportunity will allow guests to boogie the night away, sip on cocktails by the pool and truly make the most of their time, before retreating back to their private tent, marquee or tipi. To keep the glamping theme going, similar arrangements can also be made to host the reception in a marquee or tipi. Who says camping couldn’t be glamorous?!
